KOLLEKTIEF is a collaboration between Gijs de Haan, Vincent Peters and Corné Strootman.
As urbanists and landscape architects, we research and design innovative spatial solutions.
We are currently researching an alternative approach to the mobility transition in post-war neighbourhoods. The first phase, zooming in on Rotterdam's Groot-IJsselmonde, has just been delivered. In the coming year we'll extend the research to other neighbourhoods in Rotterdam.
We have made a development framework for GGzE estate De Grote Beek, focusing on the natural qualities of the area as a requirement for mental wellbeing.
We have developed, together with LAARC, a spatial framework for the centre of Groot-IJsselmonde, as a result of our selection in the Europan 15 x Productive Rotterdam competition.
For the Ministerie van Maak we have made a vision on how to develop Station Duivendrecht into a new urban centrality, whilst bridging infrastructural barriers, mixing functions and connecting separated landscapes.
For a design competition organised by the city of Helsinki, we have designed a large-scale park strategy as centrepiece of the urban transformation of the Malmi Airport.
We have visualised how the energy transition will impact the spatial environment of the city of Rotterdam, as part of a TV series for RTV Rijnmond developed in collaboration with AIR and Vereniging Deltametropool.
